This evening, Gloria Johnson in responding to a question about the TN Virtual Academy attacked it as being a for profit entity. She said that to enroll a student from Shelby County in a Union County school 4 hours away. I don’t know what she drives but from Union County to Shelby County is more that 6 hours away.
Johnson also said that truancy is not happening with k12,inc. She clearly is ignorant of the fact or is simply lying because k12,inc have employees in Shelby County to see that students are not doing what Johnson says is going on.
