2014 was a decent year for me. I met a lot of good new people, several new faces were elected to local political office. Fourth Circuit Court Judge Greg McMillan, Circuit Court Judge Kristi Davis, Criminal Court Judge Scott Green all three had hard fought campaigns and prevailed. Knox County District Attorney General Charme Knight was elected without opposition, she had a couple of personal storms through the year and she demonstrated great resilience and perseverance.
Former Chancellor Daryl Fansler and Former Circuit Court Judge Harold Wimberly were a highlight of renewed acquaintances. Also, meeting and getting to know Criminal Court Judge Candidate Leland Price and Chancellor Eddie Pridemore were highlights. While I was surprised at the result of the outcome of the Chancery Court race, I do believe Pridemore is a fair minded guy that can perform the tasks of Chancellor, contrary to a certain lawyer that appears on one of the Sunday Morning talking head shows that seems obsessed about Pridemore.
There were a few things that caused 2014 not to be perfect or ideal. But 2014 was better than 2013 and far better than 2012. So, here’s hoping for 2015. Each day is another fresh day and tomorrow we have some Tennessee football, So, let’s go get it. We will Succeed in 2015!
