Knoxville Media Double Standard regarding Similar Incidents with Burchett and Campfield

Back in April 2010, Former State Senator Stacey Campfield (who was Republican State Representative at the time) was tardy in arriving to the State Capitol, he briefly parked on the sidewalk in order to cast a vote and after casting his voting he went out and moved his vehicle.  Below is a photo of this April 6, 2010 Times Free Press story about the incident. When Campfield parked on the sidewalk, he did not obstruct traffic and immediately went and moved the vehicle.

Now fast forward to yesterday, Twitter was blowing up with tweets from Mike Donila, and Cynthia Moxley about Mayor Tim Burchett’s vehicle getting hit in the parking lot during a 911 Board Meeting. It appeared the tweets were poking fun at the incident. I realized from the photographs that Burchett was clearly NOT parked in a parking spot. I sent a tweet about Burchett not being parked in a parking spot. Clearly, now an employee of 911 has the additional stress of having an accident added to their already stressful life. Because in Burchett’s arrogance that he can park anywhere he likes.

Why is at least the Knoxville News Sentinel not treating Burchett the same treatment or more severely than Campfield since he did hinder someones daily life.

Just FYI. I had permission from the officer on duty to park there. Buses often do and there is an officer on duty just for that area.

The reason that the media doesn’t cover Burchett like Campfield is because what Burchett does is not near as important as Campfield. Burchett is irrelevant to the day to day function of anything. He is an empty suit, with a stage prop old vehicle, a stage prop Carhart jacket, a stage prop wife and kid.
