Sources within the Carter community have revealed to Brian’s Blog what the behind the scenes talk that Patrick Richmond intimated about during last nights School Board meeting. It seems that County Commissioner At Large Elect Mike Hammond has informed community members that when County Mayor Elect Tim Burchett takes office on September 1, 2010 and the 11 members of the Knox County Commission are seated on September 1, 2010 that he will have the votes to secure an additional $1.6 million dollars to add to the Carter Elementary School solution. So, Hammond and the other five commissioners that have committed to vote for an additional $1.6 million have violated the Sunshine law.
