Yesterday, Sunday June 28, 2015 a 2015 Farragut Admiral Graduate Nicole Kalister was en route with her parents Dr. Joseph R. “Rick” Kalister, the emergency room director at Starr Regional Medical Center’s Athens campus, and her mother, Betty to her college orientation visit to Northeastern University in Boston.
Their plane encountered engine trouble and before they could get to a nearby airport or highway, the plane crashed into a home on Plainville, Mass. about 5:45 p.m. The impact killed Nicole and her parents. The occupants and residents of the home escaped with no injury but home is significantly damaged.
Farragut Principal Stephanie Thompson contacted the Admiral Nation by phone. Farragut High was opened today from 5-8 p.m. for grief counseling. Admiral Nation is hurting and mourning, please say a pray for the Admiral Nation tonight. I believe an adult sister and daughter is left her on earth.
