This evening, the West Knox Republican Club held their annual picnic; a great turnout and a festive time was had by all. Some interesting developments were Fourth District County Commission candidates Hugh Nystrom and Janet Testerman were in attendance as was the incumbent Commissioner.
Fourteenth District State Representative candidate Jason Zachary attended and meet with nearly every attendee the first hour and represented by campaign volunteers the second hour. His opponent who is a candidate for the Republican nomination was a NO SHOW. Neither herself nor any representative pr even her high paid campaign manager of her campaign was present. Could she have been meeting with the Democrat(s) of the district?

Paul Bonovich, Candidate for City Council at Large Seat C was present and introduced himself.
Former Fifth District County Commissioner John Griess was the auctioneer for all the donated deserts.
Knox County District Attorney Charme Allen delivered the smack down to Knox County Law Director Bud Armstrong (in outbidding) for a red velvet cake.
