Do you remember when I asked the question about the thought that I was being slow walked about the travel ways of Karen Carson? Knox County Finance was able to comply with the TN Open Records Request for July 1, 2010 to present and those findings were reported here. Knox County Schools was able back on Thursday August 6, 2015 comply with my request for the September 1, 2004 until June 30, 2010 and that report is here.
As a reminder, Karen Carson from July 1, 2010 until present was reimbursed $7,359.56, as a compare and contrast, I requested the travel for the same period for Gloria Deathridge, Doug Harris, Lynne Fugate and Mike McMillan. I did not pull the travel reimbursements for Tracie Sanger, Terry Hill, Patty Bounds and Amber Rountree because they have served less than a year.
The most conservative traveler of the group is the Chairman Mike McMillan. He traveled to Nashville, TN for a TN School Board Association New Board Member Orientation May 12-13, 2011. He was reimbursed $270.75. ($216.75 for car travel and $54.00 for 3 meals) The lodging is listed as pre-paid. The fees for the event was likely pre-paid as well.
The next most conservative traveler of the group is Former Chair Lynne Fugate. Five trips all to Nashville, TN total reimbursements $1,812.58
