WATE reported that the Greene County Commissioner that was arrested in May for patronizing prostitution resigned on July 30.
The initial report of his charge was that he was trying to get women’s attention from his car. He was picked out of a line up a day or so later. He plead no contest and and July 30 resigned from his County Commission.
So unlike a Knox County Commissioner who was detailed in an arrest warrant as having performed a sex act in public and witnessed by law enforcement officers. A Knox County Commissioner waited a year and plead no contest in court, he was censured by his colleagues a few weeks later. He is still in office and running for re-election in 2016. In Greene County County, a Commissioners position is still a position respected by the public trust.
