Well, the local liberal playground aka KnoxViews is all a flutter over Jason Zachary taking his oath of office in the Chapel of First Baptist, Concord. Read their angst here. Of course, they wouldn’t know about it but Mike Donila posted it here.
What’s the big deal? This is NOT the first time a State Rep has been a member of First Baptist Church, Concord. Actually, Zachary is number FOUR, however the FIRST to have to be sworn in during a legislative session. H.E. Bittle who served in the 96th through the 102nd General Assemblies was/is a Member of First Baptist Church Concord. Park M. “Parkey” Strader was a Member of the 104th and 105th General Assemblies. Former State Representative and now TN Republican Party Chairman Ryan Haynes was a member of the 106 – 1/2 of the 109th General Assemblies. Now Jason Zachary will be sworn in on Monday at 6:30 p.m. to serve 1/2 of the 109th General Assembly.
The Knox County Republican Party reorganized the party on March 7, 2015 at the Crown College a facility of the Temple Baptist Church of Powell and the liberals did not get their underwear in knots. Is it that the liberals are anti organized religion? What is the issue? The voters of TN House District 14 rejected an 11 year member of the school board, a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian and now member of Concord United Methodist. If she had won, because the Methodist church is more liberal, would it have been ok? But because Zachary belongs to a Conservative body of believers, that isn’t alright?
First Baptist Concord has Farragut Mayor Ralph McGill as a Member, who has served as a Deacon. Knox County at Large Commissioner Ed Brantley is a member. Former Knox County School Board Vice Chairman Brian Hornback has been a Member since the mid 1990’s, there are others I just have not committed them all to memory.
I see ole Beanie is posting under her multiple names over there at KnoxViews. When will see realize that you have surpassed her in readership both on her JackMcElroy site and on Knoxviews site. No one cares about her anti Christian bias.
It’s all good. She needs income and working for Clark as a stringer works for her. This started as a hobby, 11 years ago. Ads were not an option until 2 years ago, this isn’t the only thing I do, so it’s alright. I suspect is envious.
