A source within the local Trump camp says the attendance at the Monday evening event was 6,100. I asked how many can stand in the exhibit hall of the Convention Center and was told 7,500 to 8,000.
In 33 years of Republican involvement I have never seen that number of people show up for one candidates political rally. While I am personally committed to another candidate at this time, without a major derailment. I don’t see how Trump does not become the nominee.
I am glad I attended. I did not attend the Jeb Bush event, because why fight a football crowd for a political event if you are not attending the football game? The Sunday Ben Carson book signing, I did not attend because my current stack of books to read is too high to add one more to the stack.
