On Monday at the East Knoxville Community Meeting Property Assessor Candidates Andrew Graybeal, John Weaver and John Whitehead were the featured speakers. We posted this story and this one as well. One item we have not reported is that Weaver announced that the current regime of the Knox County Property Assessor’s Office on Friday received an award from the TN Association of Assessing Officers for their efforts on improving technology.
Well, hoop, hoop, hooray!
Now, a little dose of reality. This award is from the same group that in 2013 awarded Roane County Property Assessor David Morgan as TN Assessor of the Year and in 2015 the State of Tennessee has stripped Morgan of the responsibility of conducting Roane County’s re-assessment of the counties property values. Now, the state will conduct the review of the county appraisals/ tax assessments.
So, if Ballard and Weaver really want to celebrate that award. Have at it.
This is just a damn joke at this point. He admits the records are a mess and by the tame token gets an award. Hells bells people, if this is the case I deserve an award for popping with ease and wiping clean! This is past stupidity, hell fire and damnation, close the doors and put the office on leave, nothing is done right anyhow, whats the difference. Put an answering machine on the main line and collect a check, can’t be any worse than it is now.

I haven’t fired up on the clock winder in forever seems the opportune time to just make a suggestion regarding his position and salary. He is suppose to be a public educator, funniest thing I have ever heard of, makes no sense. Smoosing old farts that can’t hear, poop or pee about programs available to them. Why don’t you bring a sign to your meetings if they even have them, This office runs like AAMCO, Beep Beep, you are being royally screwed! Be honest to these folks, “were not capable of setting your value, were guessing at it and if you challenge us, were not going to do a damn thing about it”. I could appreciate honesty, as I honestly think they hole pack is as full of shit as a Christmas turkey.
As my old pap would say, thats the best example of a dumb ass that I’ve ever seen!
I have waited several years to express my opinion having worked for both Phil and John and Parkey, its not my turn to tell you just what I think. Phil is a spiteful crook that would sleep with anything that showed him the tata’s. May I remind you about the overnight trips? I know all too well what devious acts occurred. His screaming fits in the office that so many endured, as I too was one of them that faced his rath. No more there is a day coming for you. John you were no saint yourself getting rid of poor old Parkey that lost his fight to cancer. There was no sweeter man that Parkey, he would go out of his way to help anyone. Do any of you realize how many lives you have ruined? I still remember an office meeting and we were all sitting there listening to your normal raves. When you said we knew someone or were politically connected in order to get or keep our jobs, I knew you were a crook. Employees drinking on the job shooting up in the bathroom or time off when you didn’t have it. This went on every day. Neither of you deserve to be on the ballot. I had to forgive you but I will never forget my years in that office.
