The campaign of Knox County Fourth District County Commission Hugh Nystrom has joined our website to advertise and promote the message of Leadership, Integrity, Education. The campaign will be featured through March 1, 2016 when Nystrom faces two other candidates in the Knox County Fourth District Republican Primary. Early Voting begins February 10 and runs through February 23, 2016.
Nystrom was born and raised in the 4th district, Nystrom graduated from Webb School of Knoxville and the University of Tennessee. After graduating from Tennessee, Hugh worked for The Walt Disney Company for almost 14 years. Hugh and his wife, Angelia, moved back to Knoxville to raise their son, Trace. For the past 10 years Hugh has served as the Director of Program Operations & Development for Childhelp’s Tennessee programs. Childhelp operates the Childhelp Children’s Advocacy Center and the Childhelp Foster Family Agency of East Tennessee. Under Hugh’s stewardship, the organization has grown from helping 600 children a year to helping over 1,200 children per year. Hugh and his family attend Central Baptist of Bearden and Sacred Heart Cathedral and live in the Bearden community.
