Knox County Commission races.
First District Democrat Evelyn Gill (who has not filed either of two required financial disclosures) beat Rick Staples. Gill will now face Republican Michael Covington on August 4, 2016.
Second District Republican Michele Carringer received 2,721 or 63.59% of the vote to John Fugate‘s 1,558 or 36.41% of the vote. Carringer now faces the Democrat winner Laura Kildaire who received 1,797 or 56.67% to Cheri Siler‘s 1,374 or 43.33%.
Fourth District Republican Hugh Nystrom gathered 3,975 votes of 50.97% to Janet Testerman receiving 2,576 or 33.03% to the incumbent 1,247 votes or 15.99%. Nystrom now faces Marleen Davis who received 3,138 votes in the Democrat primary.
Fifth District Republican John Schoonmaker faces Sheri Ridgeway on August 4, 2016.
Sixth District Republican Brad Anders bested his opponent by gathering up 60.39% of the vote at 3,907 to John Ashley‘s 2,563 or 39.61% Anders now faces Donna G. Lucas on August 4, 2016.
Eighth District Dave Wright faces Don Wiser on August 4, 2016
Ninth District Carson Dailey faces James “Brandon” Hamilton and Independent Tom Pierce on August 4, 2016.
