There has been much angst at the State Representatives of the House Committee that voted NO on State Rep. Kevin Brooks bill to provide broadband to 60 residents of Bradley Co., TN. If you are not one of the 60 Bradley Co residents to complain about the NO vote is stupid…because as a rural resident of TN outside this area of Bradley Co., the bill did NOTHING for you.
What this outrage did reveal is that the entitlement attitude that some how the state must require cheap broadband is some how a right. Just like how Bernie Sanders wants to give everyone everything. It occurs to me if having broadband is important then you can 1. Investigate satellite internet or 2. Move into an area with the Internet service you believe you deserve. Meaning move out of the rural area.
