Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) unexpectedly takes the lives of thousands of Americans each year. Annually, AMR and Rural/Metro crews care for more than 30,000 SCA patients. Studies show that survival from SCA can be doubled or tripled if CPR is administered until emergency medical services arrive. That fact inspired AMR to find innovative means for ensuring that local citizens know what to do when they encounter a victim of SCA. As part of our commitment to community, Rural Metro/AMR will be offering Compression-Only CPR/automatic external defibrillator (AED) training for those interested in learning these important life-saving skills.

This valuable training will assist members of our community if they come upon someone in Sudden Cardiac Arrest. COMPRESSION-ONLY CPR CAN SAVE LIVES !!!! Most people who experience cardiac arrest die because they do not receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene. “COMPRESSION-ONLY CPR CAN SAVE LIVES, As a bystander, don’t be afraid”.
