Jason Zachary Files Second Half Campaign Financials Late…BUT…They Are Filed

Yesterday, here I reported the second half campaign financials for all the Knoxville area candidates on the 2016 state ballot. Jason Zachary’s were not filed, I texted messaged him yesterday alerting him that they had not been filed. Sometime yesterday they were filed with the state. He probably needs to stay on his Treasurer to comply or replace his Treasurer that can’t get the filings, filed in a timely manner. Good news for Zachary is that he and his Democrat opponent Scott Hacker both had not filed. Hacker in searching today, has still failed to file.

State Representative District 14

Jason Zachary (unopposed on August 4, faces an opponent on November 8) had a beginning balance of $15,034.30 received $4,750.00 and spent $5,688.71 with a remaining balance of $14,095.59

Zachary was a recipient of campaign contributions of embattled State Rep. Jeremy Durham last year. Earlier this year he gave an equal  amount of the Durham contributions to charities. In his own contributions in this filing he received $500 from State Rep. Pat Marsh. March faces a Democrat opponent on November 8. In his expenditures, Zachary contributed $500 to State Rep. Mike Carter, Carter faces Conservative Ethan White on August 4, 2016; $1,000 to Brian Kelsey in his campaign for the TN Eighth District Congressional seat, Kelsey faces a bunch of Republicans on August 4; $250.00 to State Rep. Jay D. Reedy, Reedy faces Barry Cotton on August 4; $250.00 to State Rep. Courtney Rogers. Rogers faces Sumner County Board of Education Chair Beth Cox on August 4; Zachary has not contributed to any of the TN House District 18 Republican candidates.

Scott Hacker (unopposed on August 4, faces an opponent on November 8) Has not filed.
