Knox County Commission Vice Chairman Bob Thomas was required by State Law to file a Year End Supplemental Financial Disclosure by 2/1/2016 for his Open Account for his County Commission at Large account.
Thomas filing from July 2015 show that he has $8,921.40 on hand, it is online here.
Here is the link from the Knox County Election Commission that informs everyone of the filing schedule for open accounts.
If Thomas lacks the ability to file or ensure that his financial disclosures are filed when the law states they are to be filed, it begs to question can he manage anything? Thomas has announced his intent to run for County Mayor in 2018. He is FIVE months and counting in violation of filing his financial disclosure.
Of course, the Knoxville News Sentinel won’t reveal this because they have not disclosed that Thomas is the landlord of the News Sentinel Publisher. So, this type of discovery will be exclusive to BrianHornback.Com
I have all open accounts (except Judiciary, by state law those are campaign committees not the candidate) filings that filed for the February 1, 2016 deadline and Thomas is the one violation. I will be blogging the results of those disclosures in the near future.
Did you really expect Metro Bob to follow the rules?
The Election Commission did contact me today and he did file his report, they inadvertently filed it in the wrong location. I have posted the new one, but there is a question about $2,020 and some odd change
