My wife gave me a copy of Ford County by John Grisham for Christmas. As a regular readers of Brian’s Blog realize that I am a fan of John Grisham. I always get the latest Grisham as quickly as I can when a new one is released. I even read the Painted House originally by purchasing the Oxford American magazines for a year. Ford County is a collection of short stories. They are all in typical Grisham excellence style. But the last story Funny Boy takes on the ignorant stereotype of the mid to late 1990’s and is an excellent story of a controversial subject matter. At the conclusion of the several short stories you may rethink your thoughts and beliefs.
