I Knox County School Board that were elected on August 4, 2016
Second District Jennifer Owen had $376.13 received $29.23, spent $397.19 with a zero balance, closing out her account.
Third District Tony Norman had $3,550.00, received ZERO, spent $627.00 and has $2,923.00 on hand.
Fifth District Susan Horn had $2,376.13, received $500, spent $2,876.13 leaving ZERO on hand. Horn reports $213.45 of in-kind contributions. One of her contributors was Sharon Smith (wife of former Seventh District County Commissioner Robert Lawrence Smith. RLSmith who established himself as a critic of Congressman John J Duncan, Jr. is also rumored to be looking at a 2018 County Commission at large run)
Eighth District Mike McMillan has NOT filed his third quarter report as of October 13, 2016. On his report filed on July 19, 2016 he had $450.00 on hand.
The other five School Board Members have open accounts and were required to file a third quarter financial on October 11, 2016. The Knox County Election Commission notes here, “If you were not a candidate in the August 4, 2016 general election but have an open campaign account, the report will cover the period July 1, 2016 through September 30, 2016.”
Correction Clarification from Chris Davis of Knox County Election Commission, “Only individuals with open accounts that were on the ballot in March or August 2016 were required to file on October 11, 2016.
The sheet you linked to is from the state (that they provide us to place on our site) – I will see if they will make that more clear on the next version they send us.
Meaning that Gloria Deathridge, Lynne Fugate, Terry Hill, Patti Bounds, and Amber Rountree (and anyone else with an open account that was not on the ballot in 2016) won’t owe us a report until late January, 2017.
That report will cover the time period from July 1, 2016 through January 15, 2017.”
First District Gloria Deathridge on July 15, 2016 had $2,434.84 on hand.
Fourth District Lynne Fugate on July 14, 2016 had $6,036.42 on hand.
Sixth District Terry Hill on July 18, 2016 had $3,213.84 on hand.
Seventh District Patti Bounds on July 19, 2016 had $48.88 on hand.
Ninth District Amber Rountree on July 15,2016 had $706.07 on hand.
