Congrats to Mary Mancini for being reelected as Chair of the TN Democrat Party. Clearly a job that is difficult. A job requiring her to lead a ragtag group that looks more like the comedic movie Dumb and Dumber. I met Mancini when the Knox County Election Commission got together to count the provisional ballots cast in TN House District 13. Mancini was nothing like she had been perceived to be. I suspected (although nothing compares this suspicion) in that she was doing the job that the Democrat Party money backers expected her to do and that was to be the front so that one term State Rep. Gloria Johnson could hide, holding onto a shred of hope that votes could put the then two time loser into office instead of being a three time loser. YES, she lost to State Senator Becky Duncan Massey, then lost in 2014 to State Representative Eddie Smith and lost again n 2016 to Smith.
