This Tennessean story about economic development incentives and their ROI (return on investment) is good reading. I appreciate this type of research, study and would appreciate the legislature making some common sense changes to the economic incentives. Like the clawback provision that Tennessee does not use. If a business receives a tax incentive for creating 200 jobs and they reduce to 100, Tennessee should be able to pull back half of the incentive.
