Last week, My friend and Former Knox County Property Assessor and State Representative Parkey Strader passed away. The funeral service was held on Friday and the interment was Saturday. At 3:30 p.m. today, Knox County memorialized Park M. “Parkey” Strader by naming the walking trail loop off Northshore Drive at Concord Park the “Parkey Strader Loop”. The walking trail is very popular and is 2/10 of a mile in length. A crowd numbering more than 125 primarily all family and friends of Parkey were in attendance.
