Center City Conservatives Republican Club in April

Last night the Center City Conservatives Republican Club met for their April meeting. The club meets at the Shoney’s located at 4410 Western Avenue in Knoxville, TN. The Speaker was Knox County Trustee Ed Shouse. Shouse was elected Trustee in 2014. When he took office there were 43 employees, with four recent retirements, the office is now at 30 employees. Shouse did mention his intention to seek reelection in 2018.

Other officeholders and candidates present were, Knox County Property Assessor John R. Whitehead, James Corcoran, Knoxville City Council District 3 candidate, David Williams, Knoxville City Council District 2 candidate, Justin Biggs, candidate for Knox County Commission, Knox County Commission Chairman David Wright, Mrs. Shirley Smith, mother of Circuit Court Clerk candidate Scott Smith was present and represented her son. Former City Councilman and State Representative Steve Hall was present as well. Knox County Republican Party Chairman Buddy Burkhardt spoke about the recent Knox County Lincoln Day Dinner, the 2017 Knoxville City elections and the 2018 Knox County elections.
