Last night at the Knoxville Expo Center many of the 2017 Knoxville City Council and some of the 2018 Knox County candidates were set up to meet with the voters.
This event is at least the third one in the past several years, thanks to the generosity of Tim Graham the owner of the Knoxville Expo Center.
Candidates present in 2017 Knoxville City Council races were
District One Greg Knox, Rebecca Parr and Stephanie Welch. Candidate Andrew Wilson had issued a statement that he had a prior commitment.
District Two Brandon Bruce, Wayne Christiansen, Andrew Roberto and David Williams.
District Three James Corcoran, Seema Singh Perez and Jody Mullins. DeOssie Dingus was not present.
District Four Dan Davis, Jack Knoxville, Amelia Parker and Harry Tindell. Lauren Rider was not present.
District Six Joyce Brown, Dr. John Butler, Michael Covington, Gwen McKenzie and Kennie Riffie.
The candidate for positions in Knox County in 2018 were Register of Deeds candidate Nick McBride, Knox County Clerk candidates Sherry Witt and Roger Kane, Knox County Sheriff Candidate Tom Spangler, Knox County Criminal Court Clerk Mike Hammond, Knox County Circuit Court Clerk candidates Don Ridings, Scott Smith and Charlie Susano.
Knox County at Large Commission candidates Justin Biggs and Robert Lawrence Smith. Knox County Commissioners Third District Randy Smith and Seventh District Charlie Busler.
Also present was the Knox County Election Commission and the Knox County Republican Party.
