I have read comments made by Mr. Anders about the need for property tax increases so that disqualifies him from my consideration. As a typical government employee, he seems to forget how the rest of us struggle to pay our bills, especially health care premiums in this day and age and we are not really interested in paying more in taxes for greenspaces, sidewalks and the like. I will only support someone like Mayor Burchettt who realizes that there is enough natural growth in the county budget to fund necessary government and who will keep their hands from going deeper into my pocket.
