The People Power PAC the funding group of 2017 City Council Movement has generated some questions.
On one of their funding platforms they explain how they must collect names, address and occupations for any contributions over $100, however on the platform they list a $200 contribution from Anonymous and $100 contributions from Anonymous.
According to TN website of Online Campaign Finance, the People Power PAC was created and closed on the same day 3/27/2017.
A check with the Knox County Election Commission Office today finds that the People Power PAC has not filed a Third Quarter Financial Disclosure. On Ju;y 12, 2017 they did file a second quarter financial disclosure and as of today 10/20/2017 at 1:10 pm have filed nothing else.
This week individuals began receiving a direct mail piece of the 2017 City Council Movement (funded by the People Power PAC) supporting Fourth District write-in candidate Amelia Parker and the Third District runner up Seema Perez. I had blogged about this mailer here (on 10/14/2017) pointing out that they can not coordinate with the candidates. But apparently they are according to the disclosure.
The Board of Realtors sent a direct mail piece in support of Sixth District candidate Jennifer Montgomery and this is the correct disclosure.
