Yesterday, Sandra Clark published a column (no confirmation if it was ghost written or not) yesterday about the bonafide requirements of the Republican and Democrat primaries in placing candidates on the ballot. She posts a scenario where the Knox County Mayor would be challenged and not be allowed to run for Congress. To make her impossible scenario seem credible, she (or someone) writes “Don’t say this can’t happen. Weird stuff happens.”
Not so fast there Sandi? The rule that was first reported here on BrianHornback.Com on August 27, 2017 after being passed at the TN Republican Party State Executive Committee Meeting. The reason I can write that her theory can not happen is that the provision, if a candidate has ever been elected as a Republican they are grandfathered as a bonafide. In order, for Sandi’s conspiracy to be accurate, the TN Republican Party State Executive Committee would have to meet, amend the rules in a meeting and then two people (not one) would challenge and the TN Republican Party Chairman would rule he is not bonafide.
Ole Sandi and her crew of discontented malcontents sit around creating fake news and the story from yesterday is exhibit #10000.00000.000a
Why a former State Representative (Clark) wants a government agency (Election Commission) or an elected body (State Legislature) to determine who is a legitimate Republican or Democrat is bizarre and is someone that does not recognize the separation of power and the Constitution.
