On Tuesday Faith Words a division of Hachette Book Group released Jim Turner‘s book the disconnected man, breaking down walls and restoring intimacy with him.
Turner has been in youth or pastoral ministry for over twenty-five years and has personally experienced the battle to overcome disconnection. A father of four incredible young adults, he is remarried and in the delight of being truly connected with his wife. He is the author of So-Called Christian and coauthor of discipleme discipleship workbooks. He lives with his blended family in the Pacfic Northwest.
Disconnected men hide in plain view: in our churches, our families and our communities. They are capable men who quietly “do their duty” They are fairly happy guys, relatively unemotional and capable of carrying heavy loads responsibility, but are very difficult to get know beyond superficial friendship.
In The Disconnected Man, Turner shares his surprising discovery of his own disconnectedness and shows disconnected men and the women who love them, how they can achieve real connection through the lessons he learned from his own broken marriage.
