TN State Rep. Roger Kane is NOT seeking re-election in 2018. Former Knox County Sheriff Tim Hutchison that ran a close second in the 8/2/2012 Republican primary to Kane has picked up a nominating petition. All indications are that he will secure 25 Registered Voters signatures and will be a Republican candidate in the 8/2/2018 Republican Primary.
Hutchison was the East Tennessee Campaign Director for the Donald J. Trump campaign for 15 months. Hutchison finished first (by several thousand more votes) as a Donald J. Trump delegate for TN’s Second Congressional District.
