Taz Painter at WBIR authored and the station aired this story about Robert Lawrence Smith. Smith said in a videoed interview “it happened three weeks ago, why are we hearing about it now”? Well let me clear that up. I had a source that saw Smith’s campaign truck get pulled over on 12/30/2017. I sent a open records request to Chief Mike Ruble at KCSO on 12/30/2017 at 7:16 p.m.
On Thursday 1/11/2018 I was notified that the video was available, how much it would cost and I picked it up. I had the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lunch, Tom Spangler‘s HQ Opening and the East Knoxville Community Meeting on Thursday in addition to my real job. Friday morning I had my real job, so it got uploaded and published yesterday afternoon.
