Word is that the Knox County Ethics Committee rescheduled the February 14 meeting until March 7, 2018 because the first official notice they received that a complaint had been filed was four months after a compliant had been filed and after the Knox County Law Director had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to investigate a complaint.
A review of the policy and procedure of the ethics committee reveals that Ole Bud jumped the gun. The complaint is suppose to go to the Committee first and they and only they determine if an investigation should be done.
Now ole Bud and David Buuck have wasted Knox County resources. Was it to protect political cronies? Was ole Bud and Buuck taking orders from an old political order? March 7 could or could not be worth the wait.
In a recent online search of the salaries of Ole Bud, Buuck and the investigator we discovered $375,304.58 in pay. Ole Bud at $172,736.76 Buuck at $148,560.10 and Moran $54,007.72.
