The Times Free Press detail the ten finalist for TBI Director to replace Mark Gwyn, here. The list will get reduced to three and then Governor Bill Haslam will select one.
Tim Gobble, Former Bradley County Sheriff
David Jolley, U.S. Marshal for the eastern district of Tennessee and a former TBI agent. Interesting is that Jolley was just appointed to the U.S. Marshal position by President Trump and confirmed by the Senate. His selection as TBI Director will require the President and Senate to start over again.
Jerry Kitchen, former TBI agent and an assistant U.S. attorney in Memphis
Jason Locke, deputy TBI director
Genevieve May, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana
Richard Moore, supervisor of the TBI’s training division
Marjorie Quin, former TBI assistant special agent in charge and now an assistant professor at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn.
David Rausch, Knoxville police chief
Ed Reinhold, a deputy assistant director of the FBI and former special agent in charge of the FBI’s Knoxville office. Reinhold was in charge of the FBI investigation into the July 16, 2015, murders of five military members in Chattanooga.
Daniel R. Wright, retired TBI agent and adjunct professor at Roane State Community College.
