The Concord-Farragut Republican Club met on Thursday night. The Club featured the two candidates for Mayor of the Town of Farragut. They are Bob Markli and Ron Williams. Their statements answering the questions of why they are running and what qualifies them to be Mayor are below.
First Justin Biggs, the Republican nominee for Knox County Commission at large Seat 11 and Tom Spangler, the Republican Candidate for Knox County Sheriff spoke for just a few seconds. They are below.
The Town of Farragut Mayor election is August 2, 2018 with Early Voting July 13-28. That is the same day of the Knox County General Election for Biggs and Spangler.
I was turned off by Ron Williams bow tie. After hearing Williams speak my fears are confirmed. He is a tax and spend Liberal Progressive. Farragut should vote for Bob Markli for Mayor if they want to keep a property tax away.
Ron Williams thinks Farragut is a tourist destination. If he becomes Mayor of Farragut there will be a property tax. He is responsible for the ridiculous spending on the McFee Road Park. We’re lucky Williams didn’t run unopposed.
