There has been some rumors floating about the Knox County Schools leaving the current spot in the old AJ Hotel and potentially locating in one of the TVA Towers. The word is that TVA officials are frustrated that negotiations have stalled and I’ve been told that the blame for the stall (whether true or not) is falling on Law Director Bud Armstrong. Interesting to my sources is that Armstrong reportedly has a TVA pension from a long career as a TVA bureaucrat.
There is some speculation that the word is out there (whether true or not) that there is some interest in moving central office to Holston Middle School, and move all of the middle school education to Gibbs. That will not go over well at all. So, while I never bet. I definitely would not take that bet at all.
