League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County to Host U.S. House of Representative Candidates Forum

The League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County; Knoxville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated; East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists, Knoxville Area Urban League Young Professionals and Community of Economic Development of East Tennessee are hosting a forum. Tearsa Smith of WATE will moderate the U.S. House of Representatives TN Second Congressional District Forum.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18, 2018, 6–8 p.m.

at Overcoming Believers Church, 211 Harriet Tubman St, Knoxville, Tennessee 37915

(Note: The Harriet Tubman Street entrance to Overcoming Believers Church is under construction. Please drive around to the west side and enter the church via Bell Street.)

Independent candidates Jeffrey A. Gronau, Keith A. LaTorre, Greg Samples and Marc Whitmire.

Republican candidates Hank Hamblin, Jimmy Matlock, Sarah Ashley Nickloes, Vito Sagliano and C. David Sransberry. It appears from the list of participants that the Knox County Mayor is not appearing again and the Jason Emert, who has attended many forums must have a conflict.

Democrat Candidates Renee Hoyos, Joseph W. Schenken and Dr. Joshua Williams.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to women and men of all ages.
