CBS has just reported that Senator John McCain has passed. On November 6, 2006, while I was Knox County Republican Party Chairman I met McCain that was two years before he was the Republican nominee for President.
While I may not agree with his positions especially in recent years. I respect his military record and service, his service for the people of Arizona. Rest In Peace, Senator!
