Last night the Knox County Sheriff employees (and their families) that work at the Roger Wilson Detention facility (the jail) had a Christmas party.
I know that County Commissioner Justin Biggs and Michele Carringer worked hard to ensure their were some items of appreciation for these workers.
I was with Biggs one day (during lunch) when he was given donated gifts. These employees are the ones that must be there to guard the inmates and are the entry level positions in the Sheriff’s Department.
While you will see some Commissioners put out a press release for anything and everything. When others will take credit, with true public servant leaders like Biggs and Carringer, you will not see self promotion and self patting of the backs.
