What motivates you to be involved in politics? Voter apathy is awful, with such few people even bothering to vote in local or state elections. I have been active since I was 16 years old, I am the exception.
Take Stokes Nielson, an accomplished successful song writer that has worked with all the big names and is an awarded musician. It was the TN Gas Tax Increase that motivated him to get in the game. You remember the legislatures attempt to disguise it as the Improve Act and legislators saying it was a tax decrease.
With that action of then Governor Haslam and his cronies in the legislature, it prompted and motivated Nielson to begin a new role because of his outrage with government over reach. Here Stokes tells his gas tax awakening.
