The TN General Assembly met yesterday and elected Rep. Cameron Sexton of Cumberland County (not to be confused with Jerry Sexton of Grainger) as Speaker of the House.
I first me Sexton in 1998. He will do a good job leading the House. He can’t be faulted for the people TENNESSEEANS send there. He has to lead what he has.
I’ve been told Deputy Speaker Matthew Hill has been replaced by Rep. Curtis Johnson and Rep. Andy Holt is out as budget and Gary Hicks is in.
