United States Senator Lamar Alexander was the featured Speaker at the Government and Business Leaders Lunch on Friday. As someone that has followed the Senator for most of his career, as Knox County School Board Member during 2000-2004, I hosted the Senator in Knox County Fifth District Schools in 2002 while he was running for the United States Senate. Then as Knox County Republican Party Chairman from 2005-2007, the Senator always reached out to me periodically.
