This evening, Commissioner Larsen Jay presented to the County Commission some of ‘his’ analysis on the relocation of moving the Knox County Schools out of the AJ Building to the TVA East Tower and Summer Place buildings. The first factual error that Jay has is that he has the former Regal Movie HQ on his list, however, the list that Commissioner Charles Busler was provided by the Chris Caldwell, the Deputy Chief of Staff Glenn Jacobs did NOT consider or include the former Regal Movies HQ.
I will continue to examine Jay’s talking points and I encourage you the readers of this ‘internet blog’ to do the same and contact me with your thoughts either directly or in comments to this post.
Part of that is plagiarism from the Tyler Whetstone’s article from last Thursday in the KnoxNews. I didn’t think Tyler wrote that either. Who created this fiction? These numbers are grossly inflated. Show the numbers Mayor. Who signed their name to this bogus financial fiction?
Those numbers are lies. All Larson Jay did was regurgitate phony numbers from someone else. Who is this someone else?
Mayor Jacobs has a guest editorial today in the KnoxNews. The numbers are even more ridiculous than lasts weeks numbers. Who is writing this fiction? Arms and Ragsdale? The Mayor claims the Knoxville Chamber is saying there is a $68 million dollar economic impact. But they don’t break it down.
Who says the numbers are fiction? You are asking for sources and not providing any.
I believe it’s based largely on the fact that that Knox County has a history of excess spending. Case in point is Hardin valley High, or like the construction of Northshore Elementary where a sink hole took out a good portion of classroom
Larsen Jay consulted Partners Development for cost projections? Ron Watkins son runs Partners Development. Ron Watkins wanted to put a glass dome over Market Square. We’ve seen the fiction that the Watkins family dreams up. They claim it will cost $13 million dollars for the move. All that is needed is carpet and paint. It cannot be $13 million.
If you can’t see these numbers are fiction you are blind Bernstein. The best source is Bob Thomas the School System head. Thomas told Commission Monday that over 27 years the AJ building cost the school system $25.6 million dollars. Last year $688,000. According to the fiction that Larsen Jay dreamed up the cost should have been $1.53 million. That is more than double. These numbers are lies.
Be real.
