Discussions about moving the Knox County Schools to the TVA East Tower is still being met with negative community sentiment.
Why would Knox County want to move the Knox County Schools Central Office to a building that is and will be Federal Government Controlled?
YES, Jayne Burritt, head of the Public Building Authority told the County Commissioners and School Board Members on September 11, 2019 that visitors coming to the East Tower will be monitored and controlled by and with federal government protocol.
Especially since September 11, 2001 Federal government buildings have become targets. But let us not forget before then, the Oklahoma City Federal Building. Should I name more? I think the point is made.
Why would Knox County place our Knox Schools Central Office in a high target facility? What did the Knox Schools Central Office do to Knox County Government to subject them to such a threat? Will Knox County be responsible “if” something happens to employees while at this facility?
These are Questions that need to be vetted and answered and not just be dismissed as alarmist?
