On Friday at 2pm, Knox County Commissioner at Large Justin Biggs and Knox County Commissioner Michele Carringer (an announced candidate for State Representative) toured the Digital Crossing building that is part of the TVA East Tower lease. Biggs was diagnosed with illness and wore a mask for the TVA lease vote and immediately left. I was told (granted it may not have been accurate) that Carringer too was ill, she showed up at the meeting at 5 pm, when her name was called for roll call, she said “here, barely”. She was NOT wearing a mask.
She left after the TVA lease vote and then returned for a rezoning in her district, where numerous citizens were there. I am told she went out and visited with the residents, without a mask on. When the rezoning application was withdrawn, she left again,
Shouldn’t Carringer have worn a mask as the public welfare and protection of the older citizens in attendance from air borne viruses that could expose them to illness?
