On Sunday’s WBIR Inside Tennessee John North moderated with Susan Richardson Williams, Don Bosch, Billy Stair and former failed State Rep. candidate Karen Carson.
A few omissions, first they left out that David Buuck, Republican candidate for Knox County Law Director must still face Independent Jackson Fenner. Second, they left out that Eric Lutton, Republican candidate for Knox County Public Defender must face Independent Sharif Guindi. Also, Williams said she did not know if John Schoonmaker faced another opponent, Carson (whose husband contributed campaign dollars to Schoonmaker) quickly stated that he does NOT, that is an error. Schoonmaker must face Democrat Kimberly Peterson all of these on Thursday August 6.
Carson made reference to School Board Member Terry Hill being unopposed in the March 3 Republican Primary. Never referring to Knox County Commissioners Richie Beeler or Carson Dailey being unopposed on the same date. Hill a member of the School Board since September 1, 2014 and Carson who served on the School Board from September 1, 2004 until August 31, 2016. Makes one wonder if Carson hasn’t ever liked Hill.
Carson also raised question about Hill leaving the school board when becoming a Commissioner and the filling of that seat for the remainder of Hill’s term, which ends in 2022.
Makes one wonder if Carson didn’t play well with others?
