On the Democrat side Chance C. Brown of Knoxville returned a petition on 3/25/2020. Joshua L. Eldridge of Harrogate, TN, Dave Hancock of Maryville, TN and 2018 Challenger Renee Hoyos of Knoxville have taken petitions. Hoyos is expected to run again and has been campaigning.
