Beginning at 5 pm today hundreds of not thousands of individuals began gathering at Market Square and peacefully protesting with a walk to the Knoxville Convention Center in response to the National call for civility.
I am sure Matthew Park, candidate for TN State House District 15 was there. State Representative Rick Staples was making his way home from Nashville as the Legislature has been in session this week.
However, at the same time I am told Sam McKenzie former County Commissioner is set up over in East Knoxville offering a bottle of water, a yard sign and the opportunity to register to vote. Doing this at the same time raises the question, how out of touch with your community and constituents can one be?
