The Knox County Board of Health met yesterday (via zoom) at 5 pm and they have opted to take the #TNPledge. No more will Knox County, TN go it alone on reopening businesses and life as we once knew it.
It was explained by Myers Morton of the Knox County Law Department that as long as Knox County proceeds with what the Governor says for the other 89 areas of the state, Knox County is “immune from lawsuits”.
Now, there will be a slight change, if you are back to eating in restaurants, you will need to have your tempeture taken upon entry. That is suppose to be occurring at restaurants in the 89 areas of TN. But Knox County did not require it, however as Knox County begins to match the TN Pledge, it may occur.
