The Knox County School Board held a Community Reopening Task Force meeting this evening and will have a second meeting on Monday.

The nine members appointed by each School Board Member are being moderated by Jerry Askew of A Better Non Profits. When the task force was named, I asked if Askew was being compensated for the facilitation of the task force and if so what was the expected expense. The response from the Schools is that Askew is volunteering his time.
Last July Askew facilitated a two day retreat with Knox County Commission and it cost over $3,000 for the facilitation with a $4,300 total cost of the retreat.
On this one the School Board is more fiscally astute and better negotiators, in my humble opinion.
