Clean water advocate Renee Hoyos continues momentum
KNOXVILLE, TN – Renee Hoyos announced an upcoming virtual fundraiser for her campaign with a host committee of 179 members.
On September 9th from 6-7pm, Renee Hoyos will be hosting a virtual fundraiser for her campaign. For the third reporting period in a row, Hoyos has outraised her incumbent opponent & also outraised every other Congressional campaign in Tennessee.
State Representative Gloria Johnson will be appearing during the fundraiser as a special guest. Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon, former City Councilor Finbarr Saunders, and former Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero are a few of the prominent members of the host committee.
“I am honored to have the support of so many hard-working people who have invested their hard-earned dollars into our campaign.” Hoyos said. “East Tennessee matters. It’s time we mattered in Washington too.”
Renee Hoyos is the Democratic nominee for Tennessee’s Second Congressional District in Congress in 2020.
For 14 years, Hoyos served as the executive director of the Tennessee Clean Water Network where she successfully sued corporate polluters, took on powerful special interests, advocated for major changes to government policy, and installed lead-free drinking water fountains at schools across Tennessee.
