In TN State Senate District 10, Senator Todd Gardenhire nearly caused Republicans to have a coronary attack. He ultimately held onto his seat. The district serves Bradley and Hamilton Counties. In Bradley County Gardenhire captured 83.84% of the vote or 14,267 votes. In Hamilton County however, he only captured 45.47% or 30,736 votes. Gardenhire’s opponent Glenn Scruggs in Hamilton County captured 54.53% or 36,863 but in Bradley County only captured 16.16% or 2,750 votes. giving Gardenhire another term with a combined 53.18% or 45,003 to Scruggs 46.82% or 39,613 votes.

In TN State Senate District 20 Davidson County, Republican Steve Dickerson will be replaced by Democrat Heidi Campbell. Campbell winning 51.69% or 58,101 votes to Dickerson’s 48.31% or 54,299 votes.
